Building stability monitoring with the use of satellite radar interferometry.
Monitoring of buildings stability is very important in case when the considered buildings are located on the areas threatened by the occurrence of ground deformations. It can happen in the mining regions, landslides regions or in the areas near the airports. It is also important to monitor the stability of buildings located near the large infrastructure development (e.g. underground construction) or where the site drainage is conducted.
Monitoring of subsidence of individual objects is possible by using satellite radar imagery. The radar images are process using the stable radar targets based method (PSInSAR). This method allows to monitor small deformations (of couple of centimeters) in the time scale of a year.
